MEAL-TIMES
Our Meals

We carefully plan nutritious meals several weeks in advance in accordance with the British Nutrition Foundation guidelines. Each meal is customised to accommodate individual children's preferences, allergies, health requirements, and cultural or religious considerations. We are committed to providing all children with well-balanced meals and snacks that support their wellbeing. Hydration is consistently available, particularly during mealtimes. Families are invited to review our upcoming menu selections, which are updated on a monthly basis.

Meal example:

-
Breakfast: Porridge or pancake with berries, scrambled eggs on whole-wheat toast, or unsweetened yogurt with fruit.
-
Lunch: Whole-wheat sandwich with lean protein (chicken, tuna), salad, and vegetable sticks.
-
Dinner: Pasta with freshly made tomato and vegetable sauce, grilled chicken with roasted potatoes and greens, or fish with rice.
-
Snacks: Fruits, raw vegetables with hummus, rice cakes, or small amounts of cheese.

All meals are served with diary or soya milk and fresh water.

Dining Experience

Mealtimes are regarded as important social occasions during which children are supported in selecting and serving their own food, thereby fostering independence consistent with the Montessori philosophy. Staff members remain available to provide assistance when appropriate. These opportunities are utilised to encourage communication, develop social skills, and teach table manners. The introduction of new textures and flavours—including instances of messy eating—is considered part of the learning process, gradually establishing dining etiquette and promoting a positive relationship with food.
